Nuevos hallazgos y descripción de dos nuevas especies del género Pallenopsis (Pycnogonida: Pallenopsidae) del Océano Austral

En este trabajo se estudian el material de picnogónidos del género Pallenopsis recolectados durante la campaña antártica Polarstern XXIII/8 (23 de noviembre de 2006 al 30 de enero de 2007). En esta colección se reconocen siete especies, dos de ellas se proponen como nuevas: Pallenopsis tubercula n. sp., P. elephantensis n. sp., P. gracilis Cano-Sánchez y López-González, 2019, P. hodgsoni Gordon, 1938, P. macronyx Bouvier, 1911, P. spicata Hodgson, 1914 y P. aff. vanhoeffeni Hodgson, 1915. Pallenopsis gracilis es citada por primera vez desde su descripción original. Las especies nuevas se describen, ilustran y comparan con sus congéneres más cercanos, discutiendo la variabilidad morfológica. Se realiza un análisis cluster (distancia euclidiana) basado en 24 caracteres morfológicos, que incluye nuestros ejemplares de Pallenopsis y el holotipo de P. gracilis. Finalmente, se presenta una clave actualizada de las especies del Océano Austral.
